Refresh App Design Sprint

Compassion International UX Design Internship

During Summer 2022, I led the Figma design of an app that helps the Christian non profit's supporters stay updated on how their money is helping majority world communities. We completed the design and development of the app within 1 week.

01 Discovery (The Design Thinking Workshop)

We brainstormed "How Might We" questions which led to...

How might we help the supporters feel involved with the mission, move with Compassion, and be inspired to compassion for the poor?

We answered the question and combined our answers into categories:

Tell the story of poverty
High Visibility to frontline workers
Call the supporters to action

personal impact stories from supporters

Defining the Users

We asked questions like...

What do we want our personas to feel when experiencing what we're creating?
What types of people make up our core users?
What attributes describe those core users?

to create our 3 personas :

Caden

  • 20 years old

  • loves coffee shops and being a part of his Young Life Christian club

  • community assistant in college dorms

Randall

  • 63 years old

  • spends his free time with his wife and exploring nearby small towns

  • project manager for an engineering firm

Emma

  • 30 years old

  • enjoys her small group she leads out of her home

  • school teacher who has two kids
